Privacy Policy

1. What we collect and how

We collect the following when you sign up and use the Service.

• Email sign-up: email address, nickname, password (stored hashed), native language, country (optional), confirmation that you are 14 or older
• Google sign-in: the email address and display name of your Google account (basic profile scope provided by Google). We never receive your password
• Created while using the Service: posts, comments, images, likes, bookmarks, notification settings, translation error reports
• Collected automatically: IP address, browser type, access time, session cookie

We do not collect date of birth, phone number or real name.

2. Why we use it

• Identifying members, signing in, protecting accounts
• Publishing posts and comments and providing automatic translation into your chosen language
• Notifications about comments from abroad and the weekly digest email (can be turned off on your page)
• Preventing abuse and spam, handling reports, enforcing community rules
• Statistics for improving the Service, in a form that does not identify individuals

3. Processors for translation and moderation, and international transfer

To translate and to run a first automated moderation pass, the body of your posts and comments is sent to the providers below. Only the text is sent; your email and account details are not. Note that any personal information you write into the text itself will be sent along with it.

• DeepL SE (Germany): translation. Data sent: post and comment text
• Operator-run translation server (located in South Korea and run directly by the Service operator, not a third party): translation once DeepL's monthly quota is used up. Data sent: post and comment text
• Anthropic PBC (United States): first automated moderation pass only; not used for translation. Data sent: post and comment text

Each provider processes the text under its own policy. The Service stores translation results on its own servers so the same text is not sent again. Where a translation and its source differ, the source text is authoritative.

Other processors: the mail server used to send notifications and the weekly digest.

4. Retention

We delete your personal data without delay when you close your account, with these exceptions:

• Posts and comments may remain with the author anonymised, to preserve the context of other people's conversations. Delete them yourself before leaving, or contact us
• Access logs (IP, time): kept for 3 months as required by the Protection of Communications Secrets Act
• Report and sanction records: kept for 1 year to prevent evading sanctions by re-registering

5. Cookies and browser storage

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and browser local storage to remember your theme (light/dark). We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. You can refuse cookies in your browser, but you will not stay signed in.

6. Your rights

You can edit your nickname, language, country and notification settings on your page at any time, delete your posts and comments, and close your account. To request access, correction, deletion or suspension of processing, contact contact@onetable.sw4u.kr. We respond within 10 days.

7. Children under 14

You must be 14 or older to join, and we ask you to confirm this when you sign up. If we learn that a member is under 14, we delete the account and its data immediately.

8. Security

• Passwords are stored with irreversible hashing
• All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS
• Access to personal data is limited to the operator and logged
• Server data is backed up regularly

10. Changes to this policy

We announce changes on the front page or in a notice at least 7 days before they take effect, and at least 30 days before for changes that are unfavourable to you.
