Muse Dash meets UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE in a new collab pack

Muse Dash has added a collaboration with UNDERTALE and DELTARUNE, announced on Steam at the end of July. The patch note is written as a news broadcast in the style of Mettaton's "MTT News", complete with asterisks, which is a fun nod to the source games.

The new "Song of Determination & Power" music pack contains eight new songs. There are also hidden sheets: the one for "Death by Glamour" has a BOSS switch you can turn on, and the one for "MEGALOVANIA" lets you, in the developers' words, face Judgement. The pack comes with a themed illustration with the flavor of the Underground, too.

What I enjoy about posts like this is how a rhythm game uses collabs to refresh itself without changing the core loop. Hidden sheets that you unlock by tapping the difficulty button give veteran players something harder to chase, while the music pack itself is easy to enjoy at any level.

The format of the announcement is also worth a mention. Instead of a plain list of changes, the team wrote a mock battle menu with FIGHT, ACT, ITEM and MERCY, and even a little HP bar for the "R.M.B Squad". It reads like something fans will want to share, and I think that kind of playfulness is part of why the community around this game stays lively.
